I am from the Beach...

I am from beaches, from bikini's and flip-flop's.
I am from the backyard grill, sitting beside the rock-waterfall pool.
I am from the cocoa plant, and the mango tree i grew up climbing.

I am from Sundays, blonde hair, and eyes that change, from grandma's thin bones, dad's big bottom lip, and mom's petite frame.
I am from pom-pom's, and dad's restaurant in Naples.
From "Sisters are forever friends," and "It takes two to fight."

I am from non-denominational Christianity.
I'm from Naples Florida, steak, veggies, and potatoes.
From the divorce, the screaming, yelling, and fighting.

I am from water parks, gymnastics, national cheerleading, and modeling.
I am from Tiffany and Co. the jewelry that lay upon my mothers smooth tan skin, the jewelry I spent my first hours gazing at after birth.

I am from the ruby hugging my fingers that once hugged my mothers when she too, turned thirteen.

I am from the pine tree, I'm the last pine cone to fall, I am the ever green.
